Charlie McCarroll passed on October 10, the last fiddler in a great family tradition associated with Kingston fiddler Jimmy McCarroll of the Roane County Ramblers. Charlie and his brother Tom along with Tom's daughter Tammie McCarroll-Burroughs were featured at Jubilee Festivals and their father Jimmy McCarroll was famous throughout the region and known internationally through his 1920s commercial recordings.
